A Norway morning — and why we drove 3,000 km for it

[STUB — Roger to fill in from the 2025 Norway trip. Source material: RLMotorhome episodes 85 and 86, the ferry-ticket planning note, the world's longest road tunnel video, fjord morning photos.]

We'd been planning Norway for two years. Saved the money. Watched the Instagram reels of people in vans at Lofoten. Then we finally went and it was harder, colder, longer, more beautiful and more expensive than anyone had warned us.

The real number

Forty-two days. Six thousand eight hundred kilometers. Fourteen films for YouTube. And about eleven thousand photos Le is still sorting.

The fjord morning

[Roger to write — the morning we woke up at the head of a fjord and couldn't remember which day of the week it was.]

What we'd tell our past selves

[Roger to write — fuel planning, the ferry system, aires vs campsites, when to cook and when to eat out, the cost of a Norwegian beer.]
